HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT RED MEANS STOP DONATE TODAY

Sarah Elizabeth Wintz

Sarah, daughter of Sue and Mike Wintz, was a 17 year old senior at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, when she was killed by a red light runner on December 2, 2003, at the intersection of Pecos Road and 40th Street.

Her boyfriend, who suffered traumatic brain injury and other serious injuries that changed his life, has gone on to graduate from ASU and lead a full life.

Sarah was a passionate young woman who aspired to teach developmentally delayed preschoolers, and a scholarship in her memory has enabled others to achieve their own teaching dream. Sarah’s desire to be a donor for transplant and research has touched many lives.

Sarah’s parents and her big brother Matt continue to advocate to reduce red light running.
